In Sweden and other countries, there are many older bridges that must be assessed continuously to ensure safety. By using technologies such as sensors, machine learning and AI analytics, the IoT Bridge solution digitalises the structural health assessment, with the aim to help reduce management costs, improve inspections and enhance safety.
For example, the IoT Bridge monitoring system detected a crack in the structure of the Vänersborg Bridge which eventually led to the closure of the bridge.
